ROLE OVERVIEW

Passionate about sales, whether reactive or proactive, providing excellent service and converting business? Sound like you? We are looking for a senior enquiry specialist to head up our team of three specialists who take all of our enquiries, whether it be anything from a conference or exhibition to a hen party or private dinner! We are looking for sales experience, preferably in the hospitality industry with a bubbly personality and drive to increase revenue!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that all sales enquiries are dealt with within 2 hours in a prompt, efficient and friendly manner and to ensure that all aspects of company policy relating to contracts, terms and conditions, yield management and payments are met
  • Identify opportunities to maximise sales and upsell
  • In-depth knowledge of our facilities and offering
  • Ensure a 94% target is achieved on test enquiries
  • Proactively chase provisional bookings by phone
  • To develop a good relationship with clients to maximise repeat business
  • Meet with customers for site inspections
  • Manage the central sales inbox, delegating workload to the team and managing time
  • Be fully experienced and aware of diary management for the hotel contributing to key decisions for diary fit and taking business. This should be in conjunction with the C&E manager
  • Report on prospect business concentrating on key bookings and need months
  • Perform checks on bookings daily to ensuring all information given by the team is correct
  • Be a role model in taking phone enquiries
  • Achieve targets and objectives set by the Conference and Events Team Manager
  • Be well-organised and able to work under pressure, with an ability to meet tight deadlines and problem solve as required
  • Understand our competitor set, rates and inclusions
  • To liaise with external providers to receive quotes on behalf of the client in relation to outdoor activities and entertainment, transport and any other service required
  • Complete reports to show our daily calls, number and value of enquiries
