Sustainability

Whittlebury Park recognises its responsibility to respect the environment and strives to achieve environmental best practice throughout its business activity without compromising the comfort, standards and enjoyment of our guests. We love and care for our Estate and we want all of our guests to do the same, so future generations can continue to enjoy.

Waste Management

We are proud to be a zero waste to landfill Estate, we recycle everything from glass, paper, waste cooking oils, even our food waste is converted onsite into a bio fuel which in turn heats our Spa’s hydro therapy pool.

Energy Efficiency

LED Lighting and energy saving light bulbs with motion sensors are installed throughout our 700acre Estate.

Water Conservation

We have created 14 Freshwater Lakes on the Estate, with rainwater harvesting systems in place for all our buildings. Water saving devices are installed throughout for all toilets and taps, and we manage a heat recovery system on our waste water too.

Menu Selection

We use carefully sourced, quality, seasonal and local ingredients. From 35-day aged Whittlebury hung beef, local asparagus to Northamptonshire goats’ cheese. Our passion is working closely with local suppliers.

Wildlife & Nature

Across our 700 acre Estate we have created four nature reserves and planted over 25,000 new tree saplings. Our Ground keeping Team are dedicated to ensuring all the wildlife on our estate is protected, log pile habitats are constantly being created with fallen wood which help insects, birds, bats and much more.

EV Car Charging

We currently have six 22kw car chargers installed in our Atrium car park for guest use. These charging points are supplied by EV Dot, a leading independent charge point solution. You can pay for the charging through the EV Dot app or through your credit/debit card. You are able to monitor your charging through a user-friendly dashboard. Charging is limited to a maximum of 4 hours within a 24 hour period.
