Multi-Skilled Operative

Your role will be to carry out works required to repair, maintain and improve the buildings and facilities within the designated areas of Whittlebury Park

Purpose of Position      

 To deliver a flexible (multi-disciplined), first class repairs and maintenance service across the Whittlebury Park Estate.

 Tasks & Responsibilities

 To work within a small team of multi trades people.

 To assist the team in carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance works as instructed.

 To attend any training courses/sessions as requested by the Hotel Management.

 To be fully aware of and adhere to Company Health & Safety Fire Procedures.

 To complete all requests on the Health & Safety checklists promptly, liaising with the appropriate HOD, General Manager and external contractors.

 To develop and maintain all necessary skills to undertake the various tasks required by the role. Due to the nature of the business, working patterns vary and may include working evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

 The successful applicant should have experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate the ability to undertake at least some of the tasks listed below. However, training can be provided for a suitable applicant.

Plastering Repairs


Painting & Decorating


Minor Electrical Repairs

 The job description cannot be exhaustive due to the peculiar requirements of the hospitality industry and the job holder may be required from time to time to carry out other tasks as requested by management.

Salary: Starting salary of £9.62 per hour, increasing to £10.69 per hour after a successful probationary period of 3 months. Please note that salary range may increase depending on experienced and qualifications.
