Clay Pigeon Shooting:
Clay pigeon shooting is the practice of using a firearm to shoot clay targets, known as clay pigeons. These targets are flung into the air using a clay trap, and are designed to simulate birds in flight.
When you visit us at Whittlebury Park to try your hand at our Introduction to Clay Shooting session, it is our priority that you learn the basics and have fun, all whilst in a safe environment.
Our instructors will cover all aspects of gun and range safety and you will be taught how to correctly hold, load, aim and fire the gun. A safety talk will take place to ensure everyone is aware of the dangers so that the session can be conducted in the safest possible environment. All firearms are dangerous and can be potentially deadly, so we take everyone’s safety very seriously.
The Introduction to Clay Shooting session aims to get all participants comfortable holding and firing a gun, with the aim being that everyone hits something but ultimately having some fun! Participants will be marked so they can have a friendly competition if they wish.
