Whittlebury Park re-opens with new SafeStay initiative

Whittlebury Park, a luxury four-star countryside hotel, golf course and spa resort in rural Northamptonshire, has announced its re-opening with a set of special guidance measures, SafeStay, backed by MIA (the Meetings Industry Association), and Visit Britain.

The resort has launched its SafeStay Initiative to ensure a healthy and safe stay for guests and a safe working environment for its team members. The measures include contactless payment where possible, pre-arrival check in, staggered arrivals, clear physical distancing and express check out facilities. In recognition of the thoughtful and comprehensive safety measures in place, the hotel has been awarded the newly-launched ‘Aim Secure’ accreditation from MIA (Meeting Industry Association), and Visit Britain’s ‘Good to Go’ status, so guests can be confident that Whittlebury Park has implemented all measures necessary in order to open safely.

From just £99 per room, guests can enjoy an overnight stay in one of the elegant double or twin ensuite rooms, plus a full English breakfast the next day in the Atrium.

The hotel’s Atrium Bistro will be serving delicious food and drink for guests and non-residents to enjoy either inside in the oversized bar area, or outside on the spacious terrace with its stunning views of the hotel’s recently reopened championship golf course. A selection of tasty sandwiches, burgers, pizzas and salads as well as a selection of hot and cold drinks, can all be ordered and paid for via a dedicated web-based service, and delivered to the table, in order to limit unnecessary contact.

In addition, the hotel’s Executive Chef has developed a range of tasty food dishes that will be available for plated, takeaway and Bento box style eating, allowing guests to enjoy their food and drink in tranquillity in one of the hotel’s many lounges and courtyards, if desired.

As well as the main hotel, Atrium Bistro and golf course, the Hair Studio is now open for pre-booked appointments. As always, the highest standards of hygiene will be maintained throughout the salon, and stylists will use the relevant personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of clients and staff. Appointments will be longer to allow for thorough cleaning between each client, and there will be a limited number of clients permitted in the salon at any one time, to allow for physical distancing.

Charles Sargeant, Managing Director, Whittlebury Park, says: “Our fantastic team and I have been working hard over these past few months to ensure that Whittlebury Park is in the best possible position to re-open safely. With the backing of events industry association MIA and Visit Britain’s recently launched industry standard, and guided by our own comprehensive SafeStay initiative, we are looking forward to welcoming guests once more to our beautiful hotel.”

Whittlebury Park’s SafeStay initiative has been carefully designed to ensure a safe stay for guests and a safe working environment for its team members. Measures include a fever detection system installed at the main entrance points for team members and guests, frequent sanitising of all public areas, and clear physical distancing measures in place throughout the hotel.

Continuing to partner with Zenith Hygiene Group, Whittlebury Park has enhanced its already thorough deep cleaning of bedrooms. After each deep clean, a room seal will be placed on bedroom doors to give guests peace of mind that nobody else has accessed the area.
