In recognition of the increasing awareness surrounding mental health and changing nutritional attitudes, Whittlebury Park is hosting two networking events aimed at event bookers, PAs, HR Managers, and existing corporate clients, as well as their Leisure Club and golf members. The Northamptonshire-based estate is also rolling out a programme to train their own staff to be able to deliver mental health first aid at work in order to benefit its over 400 employees.
A series of two ‘Connect Events’ will be hosted by Whittlebury Park this year to highlight the importance of nutrition and mindset for teams and individuals. The events will be led by guest speakers, Nutritionist Natalie Coghlan for the Let's Talk Nutrition event on 18th June and Health Coach Lisa Davies for the Let's Talk Mindset event on 2nd July.
The format will be workshop-based, and both speakers will be offering advice and guidance for those looking to introduce a personal or professional change for themselves or for their team. Attendees to each event will come away with new ideas and tips to help them on their journey whether this is through nutritional changes or self-development. There will also be time to ask questions to the experts and an optional tour of Whittlebury’s conference and events facilities.
Whittlebury Park itself is investing in its own team by training key members of staff with Mental Health First Aid England. Over the course of a two-day workshop, Whittlebury’s staff will gain practical experience, learn about challenging real-life topics and be given the tools to create a healthy and safe workplace in which employees will thrive.
Head of Health and Safety at Whittlebury Park, Richard Pyne, commented; “We always strive to be a responsible employer, and keeping ourselves up-to-date with how we can help our employees is something that we consider to be very important. Having multiple staff trained and ready to help anyone who feels they need some support is an asset to our business, and we will continually improve and review our mental health policies and procedures on a regular basis.”
