PR & Marketing Executive (3 - 6 month contract)

This role will also support the aim to further enhance our brand awareness and broaden our reach through optimising the effectiveness and efficiency of our marketing and PR effort by measuring activity and therefore gain a greater ROI.

Minimum 2-3 years Marketing/PR experience required 

 

Job purpose: 

Marketing and PR & Marketing Executive will support the Marketing Team and Head of Marketing and PR with the day-to-day delivery of a broad range of marketing and PR activities in order to attract and retain customers for all WP products and services across the diverse market segments. 

This role will also support the aim to further enhance our brand awareness and broaden our reach through optimising the effectiveness and efficiency of our marketing and PR effort by measuring activity and therefore gain a greater ROI. 

To support the implementation of the overall marketing and PR plan to deliver annual budget and revenue targets for Whittlebury.

 

Main duties: 

  • Assisting the Head of Marketing and PR and supporting the Marketing Team with offline marketing and PR activities 
  • Ensure consistent implementation of brand standards and be a brand champion, and to support the implementation and delivery of the new business brand across all aspects of the business 
  • Maintain an accurate understanding of current and forthcoming WP marketing plans and audience priorities 
  • Identifying and supporting with relevant new opportunities and partnerships across offline marketing and online and offline PR 
  • Manage, optimise and develop direct marketing and communications to customers through multiple offline channels to drive acquisition, conversion, retention and loyalty 
  • Communicating and coordinating with the companies’ creative/print/media/PR agencies, including working on projects and ad hoc initiatives, to ensure best practice, effective ROI and VFM 
  • Deliver tactical and promotional campaigns across all relevant offline channels for distressed inventory and to drive overall revenue target 
  • Manage the production of marketing and promotional materials 
  • Deliver and support the day-to-day PR programme to include all activity groups to target key media and audiences across all segments 
  • Manage day-to-day delivery of the press office function including media management, handling press enquiries, film requests and media on-site 
  • Deliver new and maximise existing relationships with third parties to maximise PR, editorial content and to identify new opportunities 
  • Deliver Awards programme to target relevant market segments to maximise entry opportunities, producing and delivering an annual awards proposal and summary, ensuring maximum PR profile, both internally and externally 
  • Monitor and evaluate media coverage and provide insight, producing regular reporting to maximise media profile, support revenue generation and build brand awareness 
  • Manage day-to-day media database and distribution 
  • Develop profile of Organisation and People to position the business, alongside employee ambassadors, to build brand in the market place and share of voice, employee of choice 
  • Deliver and support the internal PR programme with briefings/news updates to maximise the profile of the business to its employees, enhance employee engagement, recognition and retention 
  • Negotiate and implement industry and consumer key press advertising strategy and plan in line with our core values and market segments.

  • Be able to demonstrate understanding and have a good knowledge of marketing and PR techniques and the principles of communications, with minimum two/three years’ experience 
  • Experience of using media databases and distribution systems 
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task 
  • Great eye for detail

  • Verbal and written communication skills, and a proven creative copy writer – with portfolio of work
