Introduction
This is a privacy notice regarding the personal information Whittlebury Park holds about you. A privacy notice explains:
- What information do we collect and why it is collected
- How do we collect the data
- Who your information may be shared with
- How long do we keep your data
- How to raise any concerns and how to access information held about you
What information do we collect and why is it collected?
In order to know what age bracket promotion should be applied to Junior Golf members, we ask for;
- Your date of birth
- Your first and last name
We also use the junior golfer’s name and an adult member’s first & last name so we know who is accountable for the junior.
We also require a form of age verification, in the form of a passport, driver’s license, or birth certificate, to verify the junior’s age. This form of age verification is done as a visual check and is not stored.
How do we collect the data
The data is collected on the Whittlebury Park website (www.whittlebury.com) via the Junior Golf Membership Form. This is then sent to Whittlebury Park’s membership team to keep as a record of membership.
Who your information may be shared with
The adult member’s email address is stored on our MailChimp database so Whittlebury Park can send regular updates.
A record of the junior’s name and date of birth is stored on our PMS, VisualOne, to keep as a record of current membership.
Whittlebury Park also asks all golf members to complete a BRS registration in order to book golf rounds. Please see BRS privacy policy here. Whittlebury Park also uses this registration to keep an accurate check on a total number of memberships.
How long do we keep your information
Whittlebury Park will store the data submitted via the Junior Golf Membership form for 5 years. This storage time renews if the junior’s golf membership is also renewed.
How to raise any concerns and how to access information held about you
Please email privacy@whittlebury.com to raise any concerns or to access information held about you.
Rules & Restrictions for Junior Golfers
Time Restrictions:
Weekdays: No restrictions needed, usual member booking window will be applicable
Weekends & Bank Holidays: Juniors can play from 11:00am onwards on the championship course. The Wedgewood course will be open for play before 11:00am. Playing in an official club-sanctioned competition will be allowed outside of these time restrictions.
Competitions: We will hopefully be looking to introduce more Junior competitions throughout the 2025/26 season and we will communicate this in good time.
Induction: Every Junior will need to attend a scheduled ‘induction’ with the ProShop team before they can use the facilities for the first time. This will be a nice informal chat and will last around 15 – 20 minutes. It will include a show around the facilities and will cover things like golf etiquette, expected behaviour while on the course, complaints & disciplinary procedures, rules & restrictions, and anything else relevant.
