How did Whittlebury Hall compare to other venues you have used?
In the early days of the School of Education, when our numbers were less than 100, the University campus was able to accommodate our trainees for lectures. However, when we increased in size and were having to split between local schools, the University and multiple hotels, etc it was clear that we needed to look for a venue that could provide conference facilities with accommodation in just one location.
What do you look for in a venue in terms of:
- Location - Near to Buckingham
- Sales support - n/a
- Marketing support - n/a
- Physical space - (dimensions, flexibility etc) Large enough to accommodate a full cohort of 250/300
- Additional services (hotel rooms for delegates, transport, catering etc) - Hotel rooms, catering.
How did Whittlebury Hall rate/score when considering these factors?
Whittlebury Hall ticked all the boxes in terms of the requirements we were looking for when organizing the residentials. Our conferences are large scale operations and logistics can be complex – to trust the Whittlebury team to deliver and support our in-house team is crucial to a successful event and we have never been disappointed with the level of service they have provided.
What format did the event take and which space was used for the event?
Conference in Brooklands, Grand Prix and some breakout rooms.
What specifically appealed to you about Whittlebury Hall and why do you think it specifically helped achieve your event objectives?
To be able to invite our trainees to a 4-star hotel for their training days adds prestige to our brand and means we can be confident that events will run smoothly. Knowing that the Whittlebury team will take care of the event/accommodation logistics, means our team can focus on looking after the delegates and speakers – this is invaluable to us.
